The Mechanics theatre has a strong brand, designed here at creative-council, which has been promoted through literature and online for the past 8 years. The building, however, has stubbornly remained Victorian, with old or no branding to connect it to the promotional work that we have done. Recently we’ve been delighted to help brighten the place up with new signage as well as an opportunity to make information within the building more corporate and easier to access.

The windows at the front of the theatre have always been one of the most effective spots for advertising future shows and events. We’ve added contra-vision (invisible from the inside) graphics to the windows with a changeable A1 poster area in each, as well as led lighting round the edges to draw attention at night.

The bar area is now consistently branded with a frieze illustrating some of the famous names that have performed at the theatre.
