Gawthorpe Textiles Collection

This independent charity is based at historic Gawthorpe Hall and was created to care for Miss Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth’s textiles. Miss Rachel’s collection is from all over the world and is considered the best in the country outside of the V&A in London.

A maker, teacher, collector and activist, Miss Rachel’s outlook and attitude has been an inspiration to generations as well as an influence on the Padiham brand. The textile collection is an inspiring resource to work with – making GTC an absolute pleasure to design for.
